The Coming Data War
“Boots on the Ground” may be no longer needed for many traditional military and intelligence activities. Operational effects, traditionally requiring multiple global actions to execute, could be potentially carried out with relatively low risk from inside friendly sovereign borders by a single actor with moderate resources. The traditional concepts of “range” and “geography” are becoming obsolete; in many ways the world is no bigger than a key on your keyboard.
